Beautiful Minnesota Fall Day

It has been a gorgeous weekend - there were some rainy moments, but also some amazing views outside. The leaves are turning wonderful shades of yellow, orange, and red - this is definitely my favorite time of year! Saturday until about 3pm was AMAZING!! Sunshine and 75 degrees. We packed a picinic lunch and headed for the park. Ella wasn't into the picinic part, but she loves the slide. There was another 4 year old girl that she and Daddy made friends with, Grace. Ella wanted to do everything that Grace was doing. It was very sweet.
Ella and I picked out the pumpkins last week - she thinks they are "balls" and wants to play catch with them...we keep telling her they are "pumpkins" and she is trying to say "punkin". We named the scarecrow behind her Sally.

The Many Emotions of a MN Vikings Game...

Are they going to do it?

Oh no! Did that really just happen?!

YEAH!!! Touchdown!

OK guys, stay strong!

Seriously Longwell, the ball goes THROUGH the goal posts...

OK, you got it!

They look like they could use some of mommy and daddy's Rockstar...

Ooooo...another turnover??

Childress, call me on Monday and we can talk...I have some tips for you!

OK, we did it, yea!!
That's exhausting!

Fun in Stillwater!

Every now and then Ella goes on vacation to stay with her grandparents. We feel so lucky that we have not one, but TWO wonderful sets of grandparents that not only take wonderful care of our baby girl, but encourage us to take a break from parenting once in a while. So, this particular weekend, Ella was up North visiting Grandma Lynne and Grandpa Charlie. Nonni and Papa were golfing, but they were very generous and let us use the house and the pool while they were away. We had our friends over for a little pool gathering - then we had dinner at one of our favorite Stillwater restaurants - Phil's Tera Hideaway.

The babes by the pool are Nastassia (the BEST trainer in the world - EVER) and Kimberly (Pilates Queen). The boys (Rick and Nastassia's husband, Dylan) were golfing while we were lounging. I think most of you have probably heard Nastassia's name - she has impacted my life so much - it was a lot of fun to share a place that I consider one of my "retreats". What a fun day!
