Miss Messy!

Future Olympic Champion

This is Ella on her first (and final) day of gymnastics this summer. Ok, so yes, I was the mom that had to dress her up as if she was going to a recital...(or meet? since it is gymnastics?). The other little kids were dressed in a practical outfit - i.e. shorts and t-shirt. Ella wasn't really into following the rules or paying attention in class. She just wanted to run around the gym and monopolize the trampoline. Needless to say mom and dad decided she just needed to be a kid this summer and not worry about a weekly gymnastics commitment - we'll try again in the fall. Dressing her up was sure fun though - I've been waiting to do this forever!

Messy Girl!

Mealtime is a messy afair these days at the Adams' residence. We have tons of pictures with Ella covered in her breakfast, lunch and dinner. I am not sure how she got the idea to put food in her hair, but she loves to do that ! Yogurt, ice cream and spaghetti are her favorite items to plaster to her head. This is definitely a trademark of a 1 1/2 year old!Posted by Picasa

Hello Everyone! Welcome Spring!!!

I am hoping everyone had a great Mother's Day. I have to say I had a great day. The morning started with Rick and Ella bringing me a steaming hot non-fat latte with one splenda from Dunn Bros. - this is my absolute favorite! We then went to mass - which did not have the nursery open! Let me tell you, Mother's Day is one day that the nursery needs to be open :-) But, we survived - Rick and Ella ran around in the back while I tried to revive my spirit! Then it was off to Byerly's - we picked up some great steak and veggies for dinner - my favorite! And, Byerly's now has chocolate dipped killer brownies - seriously, they really are killer - so good!! We had lunch at Chipotle - Ella was not a fan of the chicken, but she really liked the corn, cheese and sour cream. And, the sun was out the entire day - gorgeous!
I had a mani/pedi at 5. It was great but the guy who runs the place was hillarious - he came to my chair, reclined it, turned on the massager and forced me to relax - he even made me try and close my eyes - however that only lasted 2.2 seconds. It was sweet actually.
By dinner we were stuffed and decided to save the steak. I just wanted a sandwhich and milk so we called Erbert's and Gerbert's. It was a great way to end the day. Thank you Rick and Ella for treating me like a queen!!

So, as for little Ella - she is doing fabulous! She gives wonderfully sloppy kisses now - she really attacks you - super cute! And, Rick has taught her to give a high 5 after the kisses - it will be great when she is on her first date and she gives her boyfriend a high 5 - I tell that to Rick and it totally freaks him out!!! He doesn't want her to date until she is 30!

She is still a really active child - she loves to climb on anything and everything. She can get on most of our furniture now which is a little scary - she really is fearless. She keeps us moving, but we wouldn't have it any other way. She loves music - anything and everything - turn it on and she starts bopping. I am trying to teach her to jump but she hasn't quite figured that out yet. It is going to be a great summer - she is just so fun and she loves to be outside - it is such a welcome time after a long winter.

My friend Kristi inspired me to update this blog and share it with all of you. I hope you are all doing well. We miss those of you we haven't seen in a while.

Take care - we love you! We will keep the updates coming!!
Rick, Molly, and Ella Bella :-)
