Fun in Stillwater!
Every now and then Ella goes on vacation to stay with her grandparents. We feel so lucky that we have not one, but TWO wonderful sets of grandparents that not only take wonderful care of our baby girl, but encourage us to take a break from parenting once in a while. So, this particular weekend, Ella was up North visiting Grandma Lynne and Grandpa Charlie. Nonni and Papa were golfing, but they were very generous and let us use the house and the pool while they were away. We had our friends over for a little pool gathering - then we had dinner at one of our favorite Stillwater restaurants - Phil's Tera Hideaway.
The babes by the pool are Nastassia (the BEST trainer in the world - EVER) and Kimberly (Pilates Queen). The boys (Rick and Nastassia's husband, Dylan) were golfing while we were lounging. I think most of you have probably heard Nastassia's name - she has impacted my life so much - it was a lot of fun to share a place that I consider one of my "retreats". What a fun day!

This is Ella on her first (and final) day of gymnastics this summer. Ok, so yes, I was the mom that had to dress her up as if she was going to a recital...(or meet? since it is gymnastics?). The other little kids were dressed in a practical outfit - i.e. shorts and t-shirt. Ella wasn't really into following the rules or paying attention in class. She just wanted to run around the gym and monopolize the trampoline. Needless to say mom and dad decided she just needed to be a kid this summer and not worry about a weekly gymnastics commitment - we'll try again in the fall. Dressing her up was sure fun though - I've been waiting to do this forever!
Messy Girl!
Mealtime is a messy afair these days at the Adams' residence. We have tons of pictures with Ella covered in her breakfast, lunch and dinner. I am not sure how she got the idea to put food in her hair, but she loves to do that ! Yogurt, ice cream and spaghetti are her favorite items to plaster to her head. This is definitely a trademark of a 1 1/2 year old!
